UNAIDS hosted 2 Q&A conference calls with PEPFAR representatives in order to allow civil society organisations willing to become Prime Recipients of the Key Populations Investment Fund to ask questions in relation to the opportunity. The Regional Platform-EECA team was able to participate in the first call.

The new report by the Kaiser Family Foundation and UNAIDS, provides the latest data available on donor funding disbursements based on data provided by governments. It includes their bilateral assistance to low- and middle-income countries and contributions to the Global Fund as well as UNITAID.

The report describes achievements made by 6 countries, including Moldova from EECA, in arranging and keeping up governmental funding of community services. Here we present the key points of the document.

In June 2016, the Global Fund Board approved $179 million in funding for 13 grants emanating from concept notes submitted by nine countries, including Uzbekistan from EECA.
