On December 11 at 12:00 Kyiv time, TBEC jointly with ITPC EECA are holding a meeting titled ‘Intellectual Property in Simple Terms: Its Impact on Access to TB Treatment’.
During the webinar, you will learn about:
- The importance of intellectual property in the context of current trends in TB treatment, the transition to ‘short courses’ and the development of new drugs.
- The role patents play in access to treatment.
- What activists at the national and regional levels are already doing and what else they can do to expand access to modern treatment.
The speaker of the webinar – Sergey Golovin, the ITPC EECA consultant on access to treatment in the EECA region, with over 10 years of experience in community-led monitoring, analysis of public procurement, intellectual property, and access to treatment for HIV, TB and hepatitis.
The simultaneous translation will be provided in Russian/English.

Services for migrants and refugees from Ukraine – HIV/TB care with a focus on key populations
Due to the increasing flows of refugees from Ukraine because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the EECA Regional Platform created a spreadsheet to fill contacts details of face-to-face and online services for refugees and migrants (with a focus on HIV/TB care and key population groups).

This web-resource is a part of new regional communication and coordination project “Regional Civil Society and Community Support, Coordination and Communication Platform - EECA”, implemented by Eurasian Harm Reduction Association (EHRA).
