5. Community Systems Strengthening Framework
The CSS Framework is the core reference document for actors interested in developing CSS programs.
The Framework has been developed in the light of experience and in recognition of the need for increased clarity and understanding of CSS. It is intended to facilitate increased funding and technical support for CSS, particularly (but not only) for community-based organizations and networks.
The framework defines the terminology of CSS and discusses the ways in which community systems contribute to improving health outcomes. It provides a systematic approach for understanding the essential components of community systems and for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of interventions to strengthen these components.
6. HIV PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT AND CARE FOR KEY POPULATIONS: CONSOLIDATED GUIDELINES and policy brief
The new consolidated guidelines on HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care for key populations bring together all existing World Health Organization (WHO) guidance relevant to five key populations: men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs, people in prisons and other closed settings, sex workers and transgender people. It includes a number of new recommendations and updates existing guidance and recommendations.
The guidelines aim to:
1 provide a comprehensive package of evidence-based HIV-related recommendations for key populations
2 increase awareness of the needs of and issues important to key populations
3 improve access to, uptake and coverage of effective and acceptable services and
4 catalyze greater national and global commitment to adequate funding and services.
