The session was facilitated by Ivan Varentsov, coordinator of the EECA Regional platform at EHRA.
The CRG Technical Assistance Program is one part of a US$15 million Global Fund Board-approved strategic initiative that runs through December 2019. The strategic initiative aims to ensure that all people who are affected by the three diseases can play a meaningful role in Global Fund processes and ensure that grants reflect their needs.
Under this program, national civil society and community organizations can apply for technical assistance at any time throughout the funding cycle.
EECA countries eligible for CRG technical assistance: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
“Unfortunately, as at the moment, Global Fund’s CRG Department didn’t receive any requests for TA from our EECA region and all resources (which are limited) available through this program go to other regions. It would be really frustrating if this TA Program becomes a lost opportunity for the region”, – says Ivan Varentsov.
Requests should be submitted using the application form and should be sent via email to eecaplatform@harmreductioneurasia.org. More information in English about the Program including the application form and the Frequently Asked Questions about this Program you may find here

Services for migrants and refugees from Ukraine – HIV/TB care with a focus on key populations
Due to the increasing flows of refugees from Ukraine because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the EECA Regional Platform created a spreadsheet to fill contacts details of face-to-face and online services for refugees and migrants (with a focus on HIV/TB care and key population groups).
If you provide such services or know verified providers, please fill out the spreadsheet at your earliest convenience, and, please, update it as more verified information is available. These can be services for national citizens if they are also accessible to international migrants and refugees.
