Webinar on new application from Ukraine under Grant Cycle 7 (GC7)
On December 15, 2022, a webinar was held for Ukrainian activists, specialists from NGOs and representatives of the community of people who use drugs to help develop harm reduction and community support activities in the new application from Ukraine under Grant Cycle 7 (GC7).
Alexandrina Iovita, representative of the Community Engagement team of the Global Fund to Fight HIV, TB and Malaria, provided detailed information on what has changed in the requirements for the application from the GF and what opportunities it provides for increasing the influence of communities on the content of the application. Evgeniya Kononchuk, a specialist of the Eurasian Harm Reduction Association, provided details on which modular interventions have the potential to expand the set of harm reduction activities, human rights protection and support for community participation. There was a productive discussion of the process of preparing the application and involving representatives of key communities in Ukraine with the participation of representatives of NGOs in the National Council on TB and HIV/AIDS Yevheniia Kuvshynova and Anton Basenko.
The webinar was organized with the support of the regional communication and coordination project “Regional Platform for Support, Coordination and Communication of Civil Society and Communities – EECA”, implemented by the Eurasian Harm Reduction Association (EHRA).
