The 49th Union World Conference on Lung Health
- 24.10.2018 08:00 - 27.10.2018 20:00
- Гаага, Нидерланды

The conference theme, Declaring Our Rights: Social and Political Solutions, highlights that eliminating tuberculosis (TB) and achieving the health-related Sustainable Development Goals requires a coordinated public health response driven by the human rights of each individual.
Lung disease is more than a clinical condition. TB, air pollution, the tobacco industry and the many other threats to lung health, all thrive where rights do not. People everywhere, no matter who they are or where they live, have the right to health — to prevention, treatment and care.
The Union World Conference hosts a four-day scientific programme and serves as a vital meeting place for all those working on every aspect of lung health. Together with local hosts, KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation and The City of The Hague, the conference will provide a platform for the latest science and policy discussions that will inform public health measures grounded in human rights.
More details about the Conference can be found on the official web-site.
