Civil Society Involvement in Drug Policy Conference

The conference will  bring together civil society organizations, national and European policy maker and other stakeholder to discuss – for the first time – the importance of civil society involvement in drug policy.

It will present the level of involvement in European Member States, providing good practice models and will critical discuss failure or shortcoming in that regard: What CS has achieved? What needs to be done for greater involvement? What are requirements for CSI on transnational, European, national and local level?

The two Civil Society Fora – the one on Drugs and the one on HIV, Hepatitis and Tuberculosis – present their activities on European level and abroad. Discussion sessions will critical assess and discuss the role and the limitations of CSI, providing guidance on how to improve.
