ITPC-EECA invites you to participate in a webinar on the use of new long-acting injectable medications for HIV PrEP.

How does extended-release antiretroviral therapy work in practice? How do lenacapavir and cabotegravir differ? What is important to know before starting antiretroviral therapy, how are the injections administered, what reactions may occur after administration, and what follow-up care is required?—Answers to all these questions will be provided during the event!
During the webinar, presentations will be given by medical specialists who have direct experience using extended-release medications in clinical practice.
The webinar will briefly cover the key facts about extended-release antiretroviral therapy—its efficacy, safety, and specific aspects of use—but the main focus will be on real-world practical experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions.

- Diana Shevchenko — Infectious Disease Specialist, HIV Management and Response Department, Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
- Maureen Mungasia — Clinical Team Lead, CIHEB–CONNECT, Kenya.
Some speakers will give presentations in English. Simultaneous interpretation into Russian will be provided during the event.
The webinar is primarily intended for community members, activists, peer counselors, outreach workers, NGO representatives, and other professionals working in the field of HIV. However, participation is open to anyone interested.
